The story behind Tangled Designs by Nan

I've always believed that art shouldn't live only on gallery walls — it should move through the world with you. That belief is what gave birth to Tangled Designs by Nan.

My name is Nan, and I'm the artist, designer, and dreamer behind every piece in this collection. My creative journey began in an unexpected place: designing adult-themed cards and individual art pieces. It was there, in that playful and boundary-pushing space, that I discovered two things I can't live without — whimsy and color.

I spend a lot of my time exploring — mixing mediums, pushing creative limits, and asking "what happens if I try this?" That spirit of curiosity and experimentation is baked into every design I create.

What “Wearable Art” Means Here

Every design in the Tangled Designs collection is an original — created by me, from scratch. Each piece is a canvas. I approach apparel the same way I approach any art form: with intention, with bold color, and with a story to tell.

Because I mix mediums and constantly explore new techniques, no two collections feel exactly the same — and that's by design. You won't find these pieces anywhere else. When you wear something from Tangled Designs, you're wearing a genuine, one-of-a-kind creative vision.

One of the things I love most about this work is its versatility — much of my art can be applied to any of the pieces in the collection. So if you fall in love with a design, know that it might be available on more than one style. The art travels.
